Representatives of projects supported by the Brazil Fund in its 2013 selection process came together from December 4th through 6th in São Paulo with the aim of increasing their knowledge and exchanging experiences around the issue of “Communications and human rights.”
Workshops, debates and workgroups centered around how communications contribute to the construction of citizenship, knowledge of fundamental rights and respect for sexual, ethnic, racial, cultural, gender and religious diversity. The gathering also raised theoretical issues about the function of communication and how its instruments can promote the mobilization of individuals and groups to overcome inequalities.
