Objetivos e público alvo
The project aims to strengthen the operation of the National Romani Agency in the defense of rights for romani peoples, improving the efficiency of support to the demands of the communities and promoting the economic sustainability of the organization. The priority target groups are the romani communities of Minas Gerais, with an emphasis in women, children, the elderly, and LGBTQIAPN+ people.
Contexto
The romani communities face violations of human rights such as food insecurity, lack of basic sanitation, illiteracy, and antiziganism. The National Romani Agency, created in 2018, acts as an intermediary between the communities and public organs, promoting the regularization of territories and the guarantee of basic rights and political participation. The requested resources will be used to structure the support to demands, to create efficient workflows, and to expand the Agency’s sustainability, strengthening the fight for romani rights.
