Objetivos e público alvo
The project aims to strengthen the organizational security of AMPRA, promoting the autonomy of rural women through financial and accounting consultancy, trainings in physical and digital security, and roundtable conversations about mental health. The priority target group is women from the rural settlement, mostly Black and in situations of social vulnerability, who face challenges such as domestic violence, lack of access to resources, and difficulties trading their products.
Contexto
AMPRA acts in a rural settlement in the far South of Bahia, a region marked by conflicts with paper and cellulose companies. Women face hostility inside and out of their communities, including threats and boycotts by their partners and neighbors. The project seeks to create a safe environment and strengthen the women’s capacity to manage their businesses, promoting their financial and emotional independence.
Sobre a Organização
Founded in 2018, AMPRA was born from the struggle of rural women for work and income, consolidating itself with the creation of the Warrior Women trademark, which produces and trades food such as cakes, pastries, breads, and jelly. The association is comprised of 6 women and takes part in networks such as the Unidos Venceremos Association of Rural Producers (APRUNVE), and counts with partnerships with the Bahia Federal Institute (IFBA) and the Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB).
