Objetivos e público alvo
The project aims to formalize and strengthen the Brazilian Network for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities – Rede IN, a national network of organizations and leaders that act in the defense of people with disabilities’ rights. The priority target group is people with disabilities, mainly women, Black people, and LGBTQIA+ people, who face many kinds of discrimination and social exclusion.
Contexto
Rede-In comes up as a response to the need for national articulation to tackle inequalities and violations of rights faced by people with disabilities in Brazil. Data from IBGE and the Ministry of Human Rights shows 70% of people with disabilities are out of the job market, with informality rates reaching 55%. Women, Black people, and LGBTQIA+ people with disabilities are the most affected groups, facing even bigger hurdles for labor and social inclusion.
Sobre a Organização
The JNG Institute is a non-profit organization that acts in the promotion of social inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities and autism. The institution is responsible for the coordination of Rede-In, which gathers organizations and leaders from the entire country in the fight for rights, decent work, and social protection for people with disabilities.
