Objetivos e público alvo
The project aims to strengthen the rights of the LGBTQIAPN+ community in the countryside, promoting training, self-care, and productive organization. The objective is to conduct self-care workshops, to create an association of LGBT+ producers, and to realize the 3rd State Gathering of the Landless LGBT Collective. The priority target group is the LGBTQIAPN+ people from Agrarian Reform camps and settlements in the state of Bahia, with an emphasis in youths, Black people and women.
Contexto
Brazil is the country that kills the most LGBTQIAPN+ people in the world, and in the countryside that reality is even more severe. The lack of public policies, prejudice and violence limit the access to basic rights such as land, housing, health, and education. The project seeks to tackle these violations, promoting the visibility, organization, and defense of LGBT+ rights in the context of the Popular Agrarian Reform, strengthening the fight for a decent life without discrimination.
