Objetivos e público alvo
The project aims to promote the culture of comprehensive security among the militants of the Movement of Workers for Rights, focusing on emotional, psychological, and digital safety. Activities such as the National Seminar of Training in Comprehensive Security, exchanges of experiences, and virtual training workshops will be realized. The priority target group is MTD militants, especially women, Black people, and LGBTQIA+ people, who face threats such as physical violence, sexual violence, and cybercrimes in their territories.
Contexto
MTD acts in 14 Brazilian states, organizing the working class in struggles for housing, work, food, and racial and gender equity. The militants face daily threats, such as domestic violence, data theft, and cybercrimes, which impact their emotional and psychological health. The project seeks to strengthen their self-protection capacity and to create a culture of collective care, with actions that promote welfare and comprehensive security.

The Movement of Workers for Rights (MTD) is an urban, national, mass, feminist, territorial, and peripheral popular movement, founded in May 22nd 2000. Initially created as the Movement of Unemployed Workers, MTD arose in the fight for labor and housing, organizing people in transition between the countryside and city. Throughout its 23 years of acting, MTD has expanded its presence to 14 states and 4 regions of the country, acting in mid-to-large cities. Its main fights are for labor, housing, food, and racial and gender equity, with the strategic goal of building a Popular Project for Brazil, through the working class’s organization and the radicalization of democracy.
