Objetivos e público alvo
The project aims to bring awareness and train community leaders in the Kalunga (GO), Mata Cavalo (MT) and Adrianópolis (PR) quilombos* for land and environmental management. It seeks to promote the collective construction of land management plans, conservation of sociobiodiversity, and the valorization of cultural patrimony. The priority target group is the quilombola leadership in these lands, who face challenges in the comprehension and implementation of sustainable management practices.
* Traditional communities descended from runaway enslaved people.
Contexto
The quilombola communities faces difficulties in the management of their territories, especially in the conservation of socio-biodiversity and cultural heritage. The lack of understanding about land rights and duties deepens the vulnerability of these communities. The project seeks to tackle these challenges, promoting awareness workshops and the construction of a Land Management Plan that strengthens the autonomy and resistance of quilombola communities.
