Discussing public policies for women through activities that allow thematic dialogues, fomenting the discussion about feminism and creating an agenda to fight machismo in the Funk movement (Funk is a music genre and life-style created in Rio de Janeiro, that discusses topics related to Black youth, racial ride and social injustice, expressing the social problems that are most present in this reality).

Context
Machismo is established in cultural structures and in Funk it is manifested through various forms of oppression against women and young people who are part of the funkeira mass (Funk movement). There are racial and territorial cutbacks in this scenario, since most of the women who are part of the funkeira mass are young and poor Black.
About the organization
The National Front of Women in Funk is inspired by the National Front of Women in Hip-Hop, which works to promote the role of women as protagonists in the peripheral cultural scene. The objective is to fight the machismo established in social structures, which strongly reflects the behavior of men of the Funk movement.
