The Brazil Human Rights Fund received ten photographs of Paulo Ito’s original graffiti that inspired the painting “Brasil, País do futebol“ (Brazil, soccer country). The photos will go to the first ten people to make a donation of at least R$ 100 (US$ 45). To make a donation, click here (Portuguese only)!
The photo reproductions (matte print, 25.4 x 38 cm) were taken by the author himself and are personally signed by him as well. Recipients will be responsible for covering shipping charges to destinations outside of Brazil.
This is a continuation of the initiative proposed by the artist himself when he donated his painting to be auctioned online by the Bel Art Gallery, with proceeds going to the Brazil Human Rights Fund. The piece was auctioned for R$ 3,000.
Paulo Ito’s work was covered by the BBC, in addition to being widely circulated on online social networks.
