In the name of all members of the Brazil Fund, executive director Ana Valéria Araújo sent a letter of solidarity to Dom Pedro Casaldáliga, one of our founders. At 84 years old, Dom Pedro has suffered death threats. Protests against the courts for the removal of introduers on the Marãiwatsèdè Indigenous Territory, of the Xavante indians in Mato Grosso, have incited strong reactions, implicating him as responsible for the conflict.
