The ongoing dialogue between the Brazil Fund team and its supported projects is done through phone calls, via email and with visits to partners in places where their actions are taken. Since 2007 Brazil Fund representatives have visited about 40 of the 141 supported projects. The activity has the purpose of monitoring the work being carried out and providing technical support when needed.

This year Maíra Junqueira, Project Coordinator, has already visited organizations in the Northeast and South of the country. In February, accompanied by the Project Assistant, Maria Chiriano, she met with NGOs from Maranhão. In March, along with the Finance Director of the foundation, Denise Dora, she visited groups of Rio Grande do Sul.

    Visited Organizations
    In Maranhão:
Association of Women Babassu Coconut Breakers from the Municipality of São Luís Gonzaga, Association of Women Rural Workers of Lake Junco and Lake Rodrigues, Marcos Passerini Center for the Defense of Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights, Collective of Women Rural Workers of Maranhão State, Tutóia Human Rights Center, Peoples of the Carajás Region Rights Center.
    In Rio Grande do Sul:
Mother Cristina Solidarity Action Association, Association of Mothers and Friends of Children and Adolescents at Risk – Amar-RS and Ilê Asé Iyemonjá Omi Olodô.
