About the Alliance
The Alliance between Funds is an unprecedented initiative that was recently launched in Brazil. For the first time, three funds – Baobá Fund for Racial Equality, Brazil Human Rights Fund and the Casa Socioambiental Fund – have come together to promote an important contribution of direct funds to indigenous people and quilombola communities, who have been rendered more vulnerable by the pandemic. The initial contribution is R$ 2.5 million, to be distributed through several different programmes.
As well as increasing support to innovative projects tackling the impact of the pandemic, the Alliance of Funds also increases the outreach of actions, especially in more isolated areas.
